We’ve come full circle. Meaning that we’re back at square one, New York City. Same exact restaurant where we had our last meal before starting cycling westward almost three months ago. Same exact dish.
Tomorrow we’ll fly back home. It’s about time, work is waiting, and all of our friends and family are waiting too. At least we hope they are.
But still a little note about the flight we took this morning from San Francisco to New York. It is a dizzying thought that for an airplane it took less than five hours to cover the same distance it took the two of us on our bikes over eighty days.
Still, what we won in efficiency today we missed out on in experience. If you really want to get a feel for a country there is nothing like a bicycle.
